An experienced, General Manager/Branch Manager with a background in manufacturing/production is sought for a leading UK construction products manufacturer, with revenues in excess of c. £100m and manufacturing facilities right across the UK.
The successful candidate is to have full general, operational, commercial and strategic management responsibility for their Surrey branch which services Surrey, London, and wider south east region with annual revenues of £10m-£15m. The post holder will have responsibility for the performance of the branch (operationally and commercially) driving efficiencies and productivity in line with targets.
On a day to day basis said person will manage both production and office/administration teams, ensuring the utilisation of staff to schedule, manufacture and deliver product whilst optimising profitability.
Main tasks of job:
Manage all activities at the branch, including production, warehousing, logistics and all administration. In line with this, to manage all staff, and all personnel issues arising.
Hire and retain staff.
Grow the sales in the region in line with targets set.
Be responsible for the health and safety of all staff and customers.
Manage forward production programme.
Liaise with customer sites and production teams in order to anticipate any changes in requirements.
Account manage key established customer base, maximising opportunity with each.
Be responsible for audits, and ongoing processes associated with compliance.
Ensure that the administration function is up to date through both personal responsibilities, and delegation.
